Fun Fact: Roy is a Drummer!
Resume: Roy was born in Tallahassee, Florida and graduated from Clemson University with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Shortly after graduating, Roy started working as a mechanical engineer at the Kennedy Space Center and worked on space missions in Florida including the Titan Program. Roy then decided to take on his family business and work in partnership with his father as the President of the Chipley Company.
Joined the Podcast to Geek Out On: Total site construction and the history of how the Chipley Company starting out as a small paving company. Roy and The ConTechCrew also discussed winning the Equipment World Contractor of the Year in 2017, advancements and innovative changes in concrete and earth moving, as well as, the need of leveraging new technology in construction.
